For all the lushes out there (especially those with a penchant for tequila) Cinco de Mayo is usually quite the Lushworthy holiday. And to this day I’m still curious as to how a holiday celebrating the heritage of Mexico became an excuse to down tequila shots and margaritas. But hey I’m definitely not complaining. I’ll take any excuse to indulge in a margarita or two.

In honor of the Cinco de Mayo holiday I recently met up with Atlanta Jose Cuervo tequila ambassador Paloma del Rivero at No Mas Cantina for a quick chat on Cinco de Mayo cocktails, food pairings, and more. In the interview Paloma shares the recipe for “The Paloma,” which sounds like a great option for those of you who may be a bit bored with your standard margarita, as well as “The Diablo.” And below the video you’ll find the drink recipes for all of the cocktails mentioned in the interview. Enjoy!
