A couple of weeks ago I blogged about the tasty “19th At Augusta” cocktail after attending an event here in Atlanta. Well I now have the official drink recipe for the “19th At Augusta” thanks to a post American Spirit Whiskey (ASW) made on their Facebook page earlier today. ASW posted the drink recipe in celebration of this weekend’s the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. The recipe comes courtesy of Timothy Victor Faulkner from Atlanta wine and spirit retailer H&F Bottle Shop.
2 oz American Spirit Whiskey
2.5 oz Sweet Tea
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Pale Ale (or Terrapin Rye out of Athens, GA)
Combine American Spirit Whiskey, tea, and lemon in pint glass over ice. Stir and top with beer. Garnish with lemon twist.
To celebrate Buckhead Restaurant Week and also debut the new Lexus GS 350 (which is priced at a little under $50,000) the Atlanta Area Lexus Dealers held “Lexus A La Carte” an epicurean event that featured tastings, cocktails, and more. The event took place in the lobby of the famed Buckhead Theatre and featured tasty bites from Flip Burger, Davio’s, and more as well as cocktails from American Spirit Whiskey. I have to give American Spirit kudos for their very creative “19th At Augusta” cocktail (the cocktail pictured in the image gallery below) which consisted of American Spirit, beer, and sweet tea. An unexpected combination of ingredients, but still pretty delicious. And no, your eyes aren’t fooling you that is in fact a clear whiskey. Pretty intriguing, right?
