Despite the fact that Shakespeare’s “Romeo And Juliet” is quite the tragic play I think it was pretty creative of Atlanta restaurant Latitude Food And Drink to introduce both a “Romeo” and a “Juliet” cocktail for Valentine’s Day. As expected the “Romeo” cocktail seems to be geared towards the more manlier drinker while the “Juliet” cocktail seems a bit more feminine. But if you ask me either of the two sound like they’d be a great start to a meal consisting of Mahi-Mahi, butcher steak, or one of Latitude’s other signature dishes.
To give you a better idea of what you can expect with each cocktail I’ve gone ahead and listed the drink recipe for both.
2 oz Miller Gin
1 oz Ginger Shrub
Splash Coriander Soda
Pour all ingredients into a glass and stir. Garnish with a coriander-dusted ginger slice.
2 oz Alma Tequila
Drop Rose Tincture
Pink Peppercorn Honey Syrup
Shake all ingredients in a martini shaker and strain over ice. Garnish with a candied rose petal.
