I must have somehow missed the memo, but apparently bourbon and pork go together like bees and honey. Or gin and vermouth. Or…well, you get the picture. Atlanta will already be hosting the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival later this month and this weekend the much-anticipated Cochon 555 competition will be heading to the city. The traveling culinary competition and tasting event, which is currently in its fifth year, will take place on Sunday, February 17 at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Atlanta.
On top of copious amounts of pork, Cochon 555 will also feature the “Punch Kings” cocktail competition which will pit local mixologists against one another as they use Breckenridge Bourbon to create a (hopefully) winning cocktail. There will also be plenty of other Lushworthy activities to partake in at Cochon 555 including sampling of various bourbons that will include Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, Templeton Rye, and more. And if you find yourself needing a bourbon break they’ll also have the Chupito/Mezcal Bar on hand at the event.
