For quite sometime now I’ve toyed with the idea of hosting my own Happy Hour meetup series, and after putting it off for a bit I finally decided to host the first ever #MeetMeAtTheBar Happy Hour meetup last week. The meetup took place at Cook Hall (inside the W Atlanta Buckhead) during their Punch Out @ 5 Happy Hour, and lucky for us the day’s Happy Hour special was a $5 Hurricane Punch.
In addition to sipping on Hurricanes, we also nibbled on Cook Hall’s $5 Snacks throughout the evening. During Punch Out @ 5, all of the Snacks at Cook Hall are priced at only $5. And I have to say that their Popcorn Shrimp (normally $12) is hands down the gem of their Snacks menu in my opinion. It consists of fried shrimp and actual, real life popcorn and the entire dish is then drizzled with the most amazing Ranch dressing I’ve ever had. Seriously, they need to bottle the stuff and sell it pronto.
Those in attendance at #MeetMeAtTheBar also won gift bags featuring Lolita martini glasses, Kiehl’s mini gift sets, and Lushworthy t-shirts.
Thanks to everyone who came out and a special thank you to those at Cook Hall, specifically their team of bartenders and Shannon R! And for those of you who weren’t able to make it out, you can expect another #MeetMeAtTheBar at a new location in the very near future.

Since Halloween takes place on October 31, late October tends to be the spookiest time of the year. But here in Atlanta that time of the year is wayyy more indicative of brew and great food. Towards the end of the month, a number of beer dinners will be held in and around Atlanta. I’ve only had the opportunity to attend one beer dinner in my lifetime (that definitely makes me sound hella old), but I have to say that they make for a pretty cool experience, even if you aren’t a beer lover. In fact, attending one might just turn you into a beer lover. The three beer dinners I’m familiar with all take place on different days, so feel free to go in, or choose one or two of your favorites.
For more information and to make a reservation, follow the link for each restaurant. Please keep in mind that price per person does not include tax and gratuity.
