Before I go on a mass texting spree in the hopes of figuring out what “the move” is this Fourth of July weekend, I figured it seemed only right to share a handful of Independence Day inspired cocktails with you guys. Below, you’ll find my personal Fourth of July picks from brands including from Belvedere Vodka, Basil Hayden’s, Courvoisier, and more.
Cheers! And be sure to keep safe this weekend. (Remember to keep a bucket of water on hand if you plan on celebrating with your own fireworks. I heard that on the news yesterday and for some odd reason felt compelled to share.)
Oh! One last thing. I plan (emphasis on “plan”) to take part in my first Periscope (live-streaming app) on July 4th (7 to 10 P.M.) at the Georgia Aquarium’s Red, White & Brew event. So, be sure to follow me! Username is @Lushworthy.

The days of summer are now numbered and if you’re hoping to get your fruity fix with a summer cocktail or two then you may want to do so soon. And to ensure that you enjoy those last few summer cocktails, Courvoisier teamed up with One Flew South’s Tiffanie Barriere to create a handful of summer-friendly libations that are inspired by the mixtress’ Creole/Texan roots. With ingredients that include fresh watermelon and blueberries, the “5 O’Clock” and “Louisiana Purchase” cocktails are heavily indicative of the season we’ll soon be bidding adieu to. Enjoy!
