I’m amazed at the fact that I always seems to remember a national liquor holiday the day after that holiday takes place So I’m sure you all will be seeing a lot more Happy Belated [Insert Type Of Liquor Here] Day posts on here. The latest liquor holiday was National Rum Day which was celebrated yesterday (August 16). Rum is hands down one of my favorite liquors so I’m a little bummed about missing that holiday although I’ll probably whip up a rum cocktail or two today for a little belated celebration. Las Fresas (Created by Zacapa Brand Ambasador Tekla Israelson)
1 1/2 ounces Zacapa Rum 23
3/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce fresh strawberry puree
Combine Zacapa Rum 23, lime juice, simple syrup, and strawberry puree into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass.
