Drink Recipes: Camarena Tequila Toasts To Earth Day With These Green Friendly Cocktails

In a little less than a week we’ll all be celebrating this lovely blue planet of ours as part of Earth Day which takes place on Sunday, April 22nd. And I’m sure that once you’re done doing your part on Earth Day whether it’s planting flowers or cleaning up litter in your neighborhood I’m sure you’ll be in the mood for an Earth Day inspired cocktail. And Camarena Tequila has come up with a few Earth Day cocktails that are sure to add a little kick to this holiday. And the cool thing about these Camarena drink recipes is that they all seem to include a garnish that seems perfect for Earth Day. Take for instance the rosemary infused ice cubes featured in their “Camarena Rosemary Lemonade” cocktail.

Camarena Rosemary Lemonade (Pictured Above)


1 1/2 oz Camarena Reposado Tequila

4 oz Organic Lemonade

3 to 4 Organic Rosemary Infused Ice Cubes*


Place rosemary ice in highball glass. Add tequila. Top with lemonade. Stir. Garnish with rosemary sprig and lemon wheel.

* Rosemary Infused Ice Ingredients: 3 cups Water

6 Organic Rosemary Sprigs

Pinch 12 to 15 tips from rosemary sprigs. Set aside. Bring water to simmer. Add remaining rosemary sprigs to heated water. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Strain into heatproof container. Allow to cool. After rosemary water has cooled, pour rosemary water into ice tray. Add rosemary tips to individual ice cubicles. Place in freezer.

Silver Breeze


1 1/2 oz Camarena Silver Tequila

1/2 oz Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc

4 Kumquats

3 Basil Leaves

3 oz Fever-Tree Soda Water


Muddle kumquats and basil in a bucket glass. Add ice, tequila and Sauvignon Blanc. Top with soda water and stir. Garnish with several leaves of basil and a kumquat.

Skinny Local


2 oz Camarena Silver Tequila

1/2 of an Organic Lemon, Quartered

8 Organic Mint Leaves

1 tablespoon of Sugar Free Sweetener

3 oz Fever-Tree Soda Water


Muddle lemon, mint and sweetener in a mixing glass. Add tequila and ice. Shake and pour all contents of shaker into a tall glass. Top with soda water and stir gently. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
