If you live in, or have relatives that hail from Mexico then you’re probably very familiar with the holiday that is Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). On the Mexican holiday, which takes place from October 31 to November 2, people celebrate those who have passed away. And like any holiday, there are of course a handful of cocktails inspired by Dia de Muertos. The drink recipes I’ve listed (courtesy of Don Julio, Milagro Tequila, and Patron) are of course all made using tequila and range from savory to hella unique. And by “hella unique” I’m referring to you “El Diablo.” I’m all for a sweet and savory combo, so the “El Diablo” is right up my lane. Check out the recipe for the “El Diablo” and other Dia de Muertos cocktails below.
