I’m sure you’ve had it marked on your calendar ever since you bought that planner for half-off at Barnes & Noble, but in case you’ve somehow forgot, National Margarita Day is this Friday, February 22nd. I’ve come across a ton of margarita recipes in honor of the Lushworthy holiday and Tequila Don Julio’s “Metate Margarita” is one drink recipe that truly caught my eye. This particular margarita calls for your standard agave syrup and fresh lime juice, but the unique addition to the “Metate Margarita” is the Tequila Don Julio Blanco that’s infused with peanuts, sesame seeds, Chipotle, Ancho Chile, and Valrhona Cacao Nibs. The directions are pretty intense so you may want to have a backup margarita ready if you plan on whipping this bad boy up for National Margarita Day.
1 1/2 ounce Metate* infused Tequila Don Julio Blanco 1/2 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 ounce Agave Syrup
Combine infused Tequila Don Julio Blanco, fresh lime juice and agave syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a rocks glass (salted rim optional).
I hardly ever post any of the plethora of drink recipes I come across while browsing Facebook because there’s just way too many of them, but this cocktail looked so absolutely delicious that I couldn’t pass on sharing it with you guys. I came across Smirnoff’s “Iced Cake Shakes” drink recipe while scrolling through my FB timeline yesterday and while I love a great craft cocktail, I for one know that it’s pretty impossible to pass on any drink that combines both vodka and ice cream. It’s just not gonna happen. Smirnoff you have surely awakened my sweet tooth with this one.

If you happen to hate Valentine’s Day, that is fully understandable, but instead of punching pillows all day or throwing pictures and various other memento’s of your ex into a fireplace, why not enjoy a cocktail or two? While there are plenty of cocktails dedicated to Valentine’s Day there’s also plenty of drink recipes that are a little more anti-Valentine’s Day friendly. Take for instance EFFEN Vodka’s “EFFEN Bitter Truth,” that name alone just screams “Valentine’s Day is for chumps.” And if you’re hoping to make the holiday a little more relaxing there’s also Van Gogh Vodka’s “Dutch Tea” which is a decadent combination of Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka, tea, heavy cream, and sugar.
Personally, I think that if you’re without a boo on V-Day you should celebrate the holiday with friends and EFFEN Vodka’s “Toast Of The Town” is ideal for that kind of occasion. If those cocktails haven’t quite tickled your fancy then I’ve also included drink recipes from Pinnacle Vodka, Jim Beam, and Cruzan Rum.

As much as the love hater’s might try and deny it, Valentine’s Day is very much for all the lovers out there. It’s for all the sweethearts, boo’s, cupid’s, couples, and everything in between. (Oh and don’t worry love haters, my last Valentine’s Day post will be dedicated to you guys.) There’s something very romantic about sipping on a well-put together cocktail especially if it’s made by someone you care about. So this Valentine’s Day break out your shaker and martini glasses and whip up one of these seductive, flirty cocktails from Belvedere Vodka, SKYY Infusions, Three Olives Vodka and more. (Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any Valentine’s Day cheesiness that may or may not be included in this post.)

With all the roses, assorted chocolates, and over-sized stuffed animals, it’s pretty easy to forget about the guys on Valentines Day. Sorry guys, I’m just keeping it real. But with my first Valentines Day drink recipes post I wanted to post a few recipes for all the men out there. So I’ve got the bacon-infused “Basil Hayden’s Bacon Sour,” a mojito packed with plenty of “Mojo,” and the so-simple-yet-so-tasty “Lord Panama.”
Since Valentines Day is celebrated by a variety of people in different ways I figured I’d break my V-Day drink recipes post into three different stories. The first is obviously geared towards men, the second is for those in love, and lastly I’ll have a drink recipes post just for all the love haters. But for now we toast to the men as they begin to make their last minute trips to Victoria’s Secret, Godiva, and the jewelry section at Macy’s.

Oh, and also watch two of the NFL’s best teams battle it out for the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. I don’t think I even have to tell you guys how vital it is to have at least one awesome cocktail at your Super Bowl shindig. So whether you’re a Ravens fan, a 49ers fan, or are just really excited to see Beyonce perform during halftime (that would be me!) you’re bound to find your ideal Super Bowl cocktail below.
