Drink Recipes | – Part 8

With the new Ciroc Amaretto gradually working its way into the market, a few of you have likely gotten your hands on a bottle of the Diageo-owned brand’s latest addition. So, you’ve got yourself a bottle of Ciroc Amaretto, great, but you probably have no idea what to mix it with. It’s not often that you come across an amaretto-inspired vodka, so I’m sure your inner mixologist might be a little stumped right now. If you have found yourself in such a predicament, I’ve managed to pull a few Ciroc Amaretto-based drink recipes via the internet. They’re all relatively simple to make with the exception of “The Speakeasy,” which calls for a little extra effort, but sounds pretty darn amazing. Enjoy!

The Twinkie is one of those foods where even though you might not find yourself indulging in their fluffy goodness that often, it’s nice to know they’re around if you ever want to munch on the famed snack. So, when it was announced that Hostess, the makers of the famed Twinkie, were closing their doors last year a number of people nearly lost their minds. Thankfully though, after that brief scare it was announced that a new owner would take over the Hostess brand. You can now expect the Twinkie to return to store shelves next week. And to celebrate this momentous occasion, and trust me it is momentous, Pinnacle Vodka has released a handful of decadent, Twinkie and other Hostess treats-inspired cocktails. You can find the recipes to Pinnacle’s boozy treats below. Enjoy!

With beer cocktails steadily on the rise, you can likely expect to see them popping up at your local watering hole, favorite eatery, neighbor’s backyard BBQ, and plenty of other places this summer. I haven’t had much experience with beer cocktails, but the one or two I have had were surprisingly good. Don’t get me wrong, beer cocktails aren’t for everyone, but don’t let the unexpectedness of it steer you away from sampling this latest cocktail trend. If you’re interested in whipping up a few beer cocktails in the courtesy of your own home then you may want to consider these beer cocktail recipes from Tequila Don Julio. Both cocktails were created by New York City mixologist Tim Cooper, so you don’t have to worry about your beer cocktail turning into some bizarre concoction only a mother could love.

Grapefruit Peel for Garnish

I was already a big fan of the “White Russian” cocktail before I watched The Big Lebowski for the first time a few years back, but after watching The Dude whip back the cocktail like it was nothing, I have to say that I became minorly obsessed with the Kahlua and vodka-based drink. Don’t worry, my obsession probably lasted a solid week and a half. And while I’m sure The Dude was probably pretty set on the standard combination of Kahlua, vodka, and cream or milk, I’m sure there’s a few tweaked versions of the “White Russian” that he wouldn’t mind. So, without further adieu here are three versions of the “White Russian” The Dude would approve of and one he probably wouldn’t be a fan of. And yes, it’s vegan.

White Russian #3 – I’m sure The Dude wouldn’t mind this minor flip on the White Russian, which calls for the addition of Stoli’s vanilla-flavored vodka instead of regular vodka. (Via DrinksMixer.com)

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Stoli® Vanil vodka 1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur

1/2 – 1 oz light cream

DIRECTIONS

Pour vanilla vodka and Kahlua over ice. Top off with light cream.
