Now that we’ve hit mid-January, it’s about that time when those healthy-eating New Year’s resolutions start to become more and more difficult. And if you happen to enjoy a great cocktail then you’re probably really struggling to avoid those decadent pina colada’s and calorie-packed margaritas. Fortunately, for all you cocktail lovers out there, the folks over at Skinnygirl have a number of cocktails that happen to be both tasty and low on the calories so you can still indulge in a Lushworthy number or two while sticking with your healthy eating resolutions. Here is just a small sampling of the brand’s calorie-conscious drink recipes.
Skinnygirl Pumpkin Martini (Pictured Above)
1 ½ parts Skinnygirl™ Bare Naked Vodka
1 part canned unsweetened pumpkin
¾ part fat free sweetened condensed milk
¾ part unsweetened almond milk
Dollop of fat free whipped cream
Dash of pumpkin pie spice
Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with fat free whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
Skinnygirl Maple Syrup Martini
2 parts Skinnygirl™ Bare Naked Vodka
2 parts club soda
Dollop of warm maple syrup
Shake vodka and maple syrup together with ice. Top with club soda and pour into martini glass.
Skinnygirl Merry Mary
2 parts Skinnygirl™ Cucumber Vodka
2 parts low-sodium tomato juice
Splash of fresh lemon juice
Squeeze of fresh lime juice
Dash of Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
Dash of hot sauce
Sprinkle of celery salt
Garnish with lime, cucumber and celery stalk.
