Holiday Cocktails Archives – LUSHWORTHY

From Christmas shopping to meal planning to picking up relatives from the airport, and everything in between, there’s likely been little time for keeping it Lushworthy, this week. To help you guys out a little bit, I’ve compiled a last minute list of holiday cocktails that are sure to keep the holiday cheer going well into the weekend. Check ’em out below, cheers!

A few weeks ago I was invited to take part in the #FestiveFernet-Branca cocktail challenge and after a great deal of brainstorming (that Fernet can be quite the tricky booze to work with) I finally came up with a drink recipe, Lushworthy enough to share with the masses. I’ve dubbed it the “Whimsical Wonderland,” and with ingredients that include apples and cinnamon it should serve as a welcomed addition to the holiday season.

In addition to Fernet-Branca, the “Whimsical Wonderland” also calls for Ketel One Vodka, cream soda, and sparkling apple drink (or similar). So, for anyone who may be a little intimidated by the herbs-heavy liqueur, there’s a nice balancing act with this cocktail thanks to the combination of sweet and tart flavors, in addition to the bitterness of the Fernet-Branca.

Check out the “Whimsical Wonderland” recipe below, cheers!

INGREDIENTS

1.5 oz. Ketel One Vodka

.5 oz Fernet-Branca

3 oz. Cream Soda

3 oz. Sparkling Apple Drink

Handful Of Diced Red Apples

Cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Add diced red apples to a large mason jar or tall glass. Add Ketel One, Fernet-Branca, cream soda, and sparkling apple drink. Stir, add ice, and stir again. Top with a dash of cinnamon.

You’ve got enough to worry about during the holidays, so you’re choice in cocktails should be the last thing on your mind. In fact, I’ve created a list of six, holiday-friendly cocktails that are definite go-tos this holiday season. That way the only thing you have to worry about in the coming weeks is not burning down your kitchen with another deep-fried turkey attempt, keeping your uncle away from the gin during Thanksgiving dinner, and you know, all that other fun holiday stuff.

Check out my recipe picks below! Cheers!
