What’s better than your favorite cocktail? How about your favorite cocktail on the cheap? I’m talking $1.95 cheap. In a city like Atlanta you’d be hard pressed to find a cocktail that cheap especially one that isn’t served at a random, hole in the wall bar. But at Lenox Square Grill their cocktails (made with well liquor) are $1.95 all day, everyday. And if you think they’re serving up extra weak drinks then think again my friend. Last time I was at Lenox Square Grill I almost asked for more juice in my margarita because it was just that strong. But we all know that asking for more juice in your cocktail is quite the wussy move so I manned up and drank my margarita (a.k.a tequila with a small splash of margarita mix).

My apologies to all the other clever drink names out there, but there’s about an 85 percent chance that “Sean Connery At The Beach” is the best drink name ever. Now if it was called “Sean Connery On The Beach” then that would have easily made it hands down the best drink name ever because that’s absolutely hilarious. The “Sean Connery At The Beach,” which looks absolutely delicious, was created by Los Angeles bartender Lindsay Nader during The Black Grouse’s Distinctive Bartender Tour.
It’s almost that time of year again folks. That time when you raid your fridge for snacks as you and your friends watch on as Adele wins every single Grammy Award she’s nominated for. It’s that time of year when you fall asleep after watching the Academy Awards for an hour and turn to Twitter to see what awards and awkward moments you missed. Yes, it’s award season! And just in time for award season Sauza Tequila has created a brand new cocktail for this particular time of year. It’s called “The Acceptance” and like any celebratory drink it’s made using champagne as well as Sauza Blue Silver Tequila, pomegranate juice, and several other ingredients. Check out the recipe below!
6 Parts Sauza Blue Silver Tequila
1 Part Pomegranate Juice
1 Part Simple Syrup
Dash Of Peychaud’s Bitters
16 Parts Champagne
Build first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a champagne class.
With the start of the new year comes new goals and I’m sure that for a large percentage of people one of those goals is to shed a few pounds. I don’t know about you all, but when it comes to eating healthy it’s a piece of cake at home (I don’t mean that literally) but the real temptation for me comes from eating out at restaurants. You’ve got appetizers, dessert, and cocktails that are absolutely loaded with calories. Thankfully though Atlanta’s RA Sushi had those of us trying to take on healthier lifestyles in mind when they created their “Skinny Cocktails.” There are a total of three “Skinny Cocktails” and they include the “Lychee-teenie,” “Skinny Ninja,” and “Thin Ginger.” And they’re all made with fresh, good for you ingredients like lemon juice, grapefruit juice, and yuzu puree.
All of the “Skinny Cocktails” are under 200-calories and sell for $8 each. And they’ll only be available at RA Sushi until February 29th.
On top of wine and liquor (and the occasional beer) I’m a big fan of beauty products. I mean what gal isn’t? So I almost did a double take when I received an e-mail about Veuve Clicquot teaming up with Fresh to create a limited-edition “Clicquot In The Snow Beauty Survival Kit.” The kit includes Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15, Soy Face Cleanser To-Go, Crème Ancienne, Seaberry Restorative Body Cream To-Go, Brown Sugar Hand Cream, and a Citron de Vigne Rollerball. And the cool thing about the Citron de Vigne fragrance is that it was inspired by Veuve Clicquot so I’m assuming it has a bit of a champagne scent to it. The ”Clicquot In The Snow Beauty Survival Kit” will retail for $60 and can be purchased at select Fresh locations and online starting next month.
Although we’re only about two weeks into the new year Belvedere Vodka has already created a handful of new recipes and hey, I’m not complaining. It’s never too early in the new year for a few new cocktails. And if you like your cocktail with a bit of a coffee kick then I’m sure you’re going to absolutely love Belvedere’s new “Grande To Go.” This new cocktail combines Belvedere, Starbucks coffee, and Kahlua so you coffee lover’s out there have probably just found your new favorite drink.
Grande To Go
2 oz Belvedere Pure
.5 oz Kahula
1.5 oz Starbucks Seattle Latte RTD Build
Pour ingredients into a glass mug. Add cubed ice.
Smirnoff and BET’s “Master Of The Mix” will come to an end this weekend when the season two finale takes place in Atlanta. The taping of the finale will take place at Le Fais Do-Do on Saturday, January 14th at 9 p.m. And since this flyer is floating around on Twitter I think it’s safe to say that the event is open to the public, but don’t quote me on that. Just RSVP and see what happens.
You really can’t hate on a 5K run that hosts a bar crawl before their race. In case you didn’t know Run For Your Lives is a 5K race that’ll be taking place in various cities throughout the country this year. But here’s the cool part…as part of the race you’ll be running away from zombies! Yes, zombies! Not real zombies of course, I don’t think that’s legal yet. So to get people pumped for the Atlanta race, which will take place on March 3rd, Run For Your Lives is hosting a “Brews And Brains” bar crawl in Atlanta this Saturday (January 7th). The bar crawl will take place in Little 5 Points, a great place for a bar crawl if you ask me, and you can purchase tickets until midnight tonight for $15. Ticket prices will go up to $25 the day of the bar crawl. For more information on the “Brews And Brains” bar crawl and to purchase your ticket click here.
