As soon as I saw the picture of Jay-Z drinking D’USSE straight out of a Grammy Award during the awards ceremony earlier tonight I practically ran to my laptop to post the pair of pictures on here. This is Lushworthy-ness at its absolute finest folks. Please take note, for what I don’t know, but please do take note. Jay-Z reps pretty hard for the newly-introduced VSOP cognac and has become somewhat of a spokesperson for the brand. The pictures (likely from Instagram) come courtesy of Carrington, a brand advocate for D’USSE.

Guests at STK Atlanta found themselves in a sort of winter wonderland at the steakhouse’s one-year anniversary party last night thanks to the occasional indoor snowfall and an ice sculpture that provided attendee’s with a sizable shot of Belvedere Vodka. Quite Lushworthy, right? I had the opportunity to cover the anniversary party and I was honestly taken aback by how amazing the event was. I mean, there was a baby Siberian tiger at STK! A baby tiger! Now that’s how you throw a party folks.
Thanks to the event sponsor, Belvedere Vodka, guests were treated to complimentary cocktails that included the “Strawberry Cobbler,” “Green Intensity,” and “Cucumber Stiletto.” I love a good St. Germain cocktail so I of course tried the “Cucumber Stiletto” (Belvedere, St. Germain, lime juice, and cucumber) first, but my favorite was easily the “Strawberry Cobbler.” The “Strawberry Cobbler” was a simple combination of Belvedere and muddled fresh strawberries, but tasted very much like a decadent dessert in a glass thanks to the graham cracker rim. An assortment of edible bites were also made available to guests and included sliders and various bite-size desserts. Check out a few pictures from STK’s one-year anniversary party below.

I received an e-mail the other day that included a list of drink recipes and what caught my attention more than the drink recipes was one of the garnishes. It just seemed entirely over the top which can be good at times, but at other times not so much. So of course I immediately went on a Google-ing spree to see what kind of crazy cocktail garnishes are out there and I was so intrigued by what I saw that I had to include a post on Lushworthy. Here are some of the more interesting garnishes I came across.
Creative – I found this bad boy thanks to Eater.com’s “15 Over-the-Top Bloody Marys Across the US” story and oddly enough it’s served at a tavern here in Atlanta called The Nook so I may have to check this one out. Titled “The Bloody Best,” this Bloody Mary cocktail is garnished with bacon, pepperoncinis, blue cheese stuffed olives, tater-tots, steak, a slice of toast, and a hard-boiled egg. I have to admit that I’m not mad at the idea of an entire meal garnishing a cocktail.
The newly-introduced Courvoisier Gold flowed quite freely at the Toast To The Gold Life event in Atlanta last week as attendee’s had the opportunity to sample both cocktails and appetizers made using Courvoisier’s newest product. I was fortunate enough to attend the event which was held at Vanquish Lounge in Midtown and it was certainly the festive affair. Throughout the night I alternated between Courvoisier Gold and Courvoisier Rose on the rocks (both pretty darn delicious by the way), but guests had the opportunity to choose from a number of Courvoisier cocktails including the “Golden Bellini,” “Sunset In Paris,” and “Ginger C.”
On top of featuring signature cocktails, Toast To The Gold Life was hosted by former “106 & Park” host Rocsi Diaz, includes bites crafted by Chef Roble and a performance from songstress Bridget Kelly.
So I was browsing through my Instagram feed earlier today when a (very lucky) fellow writer posted a picture of mega-star Rihanna pouring Armand de Brignac champagne to fans and journalists joining her on the “777 Tour.” I had absolutely no idea what the “777 Tour” was before seeing the picture, but apparently Rihanna is hitting up seven countries in seven days for seven shows. Sounds like a hell of a lot, but I’m sure they’ve got plenty of champagne and other Lushworthy beverages to help them through this whirlwind of week. Check out just a few of the candid pictures from Rihanna and crew’s first “777 Tour” flight. (Pictures via Instagram)
There aren’t many things cooler than the power couple of all power couples sipping on Bacardi’s newest cognac kid, D’USSÉ. And while you’ve likely already seen a few of these pictures floating around on the internet, I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to showcase Jay-Z and Beyonce at their most Lushworthy. Despite the couple’s lowkey promotion of the new liquor, it’s still unclear what exactly Jay-Z’s involvement is with D’USSÉ, my guess would be spokesperson, but there’s definitely some kind of involvement going on there. D’USSÉ is currently only available in select markets, but the brand will hopefully up the ante once the holidays roll around.
