Maybe it’s because Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but I’m really intrigued by the newly-announced Piehole Whiskey. This newest spirit combines both Canadian Whiskey and pie-flavored liqueur and comes in three flavors: Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, and Pecan Pie. I know what you’re thinking–Actually, I don’t know what you’re thinking because my love for both apple pie and booze clearly has my telepathic skills a little blurred right now.
A press release states that Piehole Whiskey aims to awaken memories of grandma’s fresh baked pies for those of legal drinking age. Personally, my nana never made pies, but she does make a mean coffee cake.
“Many people remember that feeling you get when you first taste Grandma’s pies fresh from the oven,” said Kristin Markovich, senior innovation manager, whiskey. “PIEHOLE is our way of bringing that delicious memory to consumers for any fun occasion and we hope people everywhere will open their pie holes to try these three mouth-watering flavors.”
For only $14.99 for a 750 mL bottle it’s at least worth a shot. Ironically, Piehole Whiskey is also said to be enjoyed best while in shot-form.
