Uma Thurman |

After releasing a few behind the scenes photos a few months back, Campari has finally released the cover image for their 2014 calendar, which features actress Uma Thurman. There’s no denying it, the Campari calendar cover photo is pretty damn amazing. It features Thurman in a red gown reminiscent of the Italian-made liqueur’s reddish hue. Keeping with the global theme for this year’s calendar, which was shot by South African-born photographer Koto Bolofo, the gown is also embossed with a map of the world.

Unfortunately (or fortunately if you’re one of the Campari elite), the calendar will only be given out to 9,999 Campari VIP’s and will not be sold to the public. The remainder of the pictures from the calender will be revealed on November 11 in Milan.

Over the weekend I found myself watching the last few minutes of Batman & Robin, wondering what actress Uma Thurman, who played Poison Ivy in the film, has been up to these days. Well, I just found out that the Kill Bill actress has landed quite the Lushworthy gig and will serve as the stunning muse in the annual Campari calendar.

“To be a part of such a globally-renowned project for an iconic worldwide brand like Campari is a true pleasure,” said Thurman. “I particularly admire the Campari Calendar theme this year as I am able to share a worldwide journey of discovery, passion and style with Campari lovers around the globe. Each month, the true essence of a ‘global celebration’ has been captured beautifully thanks to Koto Bolofo, a highly-acclaimed photographer with a keen eye for creating intriguing, stimulating and truly dynamic imagery.”

The 2014 calendar will be shot by South African photographer Koto Bolofo and the cool thing about the project is that each month in the calendar will focus on a festival from around the world, giving it a unique, global feel.

You’ll have to wait until fall of this year to view Campari’s full calendar, but I did manage to get my hands on a few behind the scenes pictures. You can find those below.
